2018 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival: LL Cool J/ New Orleans Tricentennial

     So one of the many beautiful things about living in Louisiana is the ability to have a good time without planning it. This weekend marked the end of the 2018 JazzFest and the 300th Anniversary of the city of New Orleans. While the tickets to such an event may not seem reasonable, having access to stage acts from Anita Baker to Aerosmith makes it worth the wild! New Orleans Fashion Week 2018 – NOLA Couture

     Prior to going to my first Fashion Week event in New Orleans, I had a small hint of anxiety. Its almost like going to a new school on the other side of town. The surroundings are foreign, you find yourself a bit lost and unsure. But then……you see something that’s familiar….like the kid from your old school that transferred just like you did. Now the moment is erased of unease and has been replaced with a sense of propinquity.      That’s how I felt, walking into Fashion Week alone, not knowing anyone and trying to find my footing. As I watched the runway show and took photos, that sense of ease came when I heard the hostess announcing NOLA Couture. It was a company I knew of, pulling me into the moment, not only as a lonely, wondering blogger, but as a spectator, watching a place that I am familiar with be apart of the show. Speaking
